Cha Jin-yeob is Artistic Director of collective A and an adjunct professor at Korea National University of Arts. She earned her Master’s from London Contemporary Dance School and has performed with LDP, Galili Dance Company, and Hofesh Shechter Company. She develops a distinctive, genre-transcending artistic language. CHOREOGRAPHER 백조의 잠수 Ritardscendo ‘리타데센도 Ritardscendo ’는 ‘ritardando 점점 느리게 ’와 ‘decrescendo 점점 작게 ’를 결합해 만든 용어로, 느림의 미학을 담고 있다. 작품은 수면 위를 유영하는 백조와 그 아래 보이지 않는 움직임처럼, 보이는 것과 보이지 않는 것의 경계를 사유하게 한다. 현대 사회의 빠른 속도와 자극에서 벗어나, 잠수하듯 느려지는 순간 속에서 우리는 비로소 현재에 머물며 몸의 자연스러운 흐름을 회복한다. 이를 통해 작품은 오늘날 ‘속도’의 의미를 다시 질문한다. “Ritardscendo” is a term coined by Cha Jinyeob, combining ritardando and decrescendo to explore the aesthetics of slowness. Like a swan gliding calmly above water while moving tirelessly beneath, the work reflects on the boundary between the visible and invisible. In contrast to the speed of contemporary life, Ritardscendo invites us to slow down, return to the present, and reconsider the meaning of “speed” today.REPERTOIRE
