    The most popular comedy opera in the world.
    Rossini 〈The Barber of Seville〉 is a two-act comedy opera that was first staged in Rome in 1816 with the script written by Cesare Sterbini based on the same name comedy out of French playwright Pierre Bormarche 〈Figaro Triology〉 deals with a prequel of Mozart's opera 〈The Marriage of Figaro〉. In particular, through ‘Figaro’, who satirizes the bad customs and ideas of feudalism and seeks to find human rights, Rossini gives pleasure, exhilaration and joy.


    Comedy opera master Rossini
    Rossini blossomed the Balkanto Romanticism embellishing the Italian opera of the first half of the 19th century with his amazing musical ability and outstanding insight into the stage. 〈The Barber of Seville〉 is a comedy opera that he loved most and at the same time his representative opera featuring his musical style and artistry.

    A romantic opera equipped with depth and high degree of perfection
    The concert will be directed by Jang Seo-moon, a graduate of Paganini School of Music with a doctoral degree in opera direction to present a deeper understanding and interpretation of works. In addition, Koo Mo-young, who graduated from University of Music and Theatre Leipzig and currently serves as a permanent conductor of the Cheonan Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as a number of top-notch vocalists, who are actively engaged in musical activities in European and foreign theaters in and out of the country, will present beautiful music.

    Synopsis
    The young count Almaviva happens to see a young woman named Rosina living at the home of her old guardian Bartolo to fall in love at first sight and dream about getting married to her. The count introduces himself as a poor college student named Lindoro and sings love song to Risina every night. The city's troubleshooter ‘Figaro’ appears in front of the count who had not even had a chance to talk to her properly because of her guardian's surveillance. Figaro promises the count to arrange a marriage with her and the count also promise a generous reward to Figaro.

    ‘Rosina’ decides to marry the count, but the insidious ‘Bartolo’ who has an eye on her property interferes with their love. But in the end, Almaviva, Rosina and Figaro work together to defeat the vicious characters guardian and music tutor and notary and finally make a successful marriage.
