- Synopsis –
There is a rise of women desiring
gender equality in education and
freedom to live as who they are.
In a time of reform, a young woman with the surname, Park,
born and raised in Yesan, Chungcheongnam-do Province,
dreams of living her life as a “modern woman.”
She cuts her hair short, adopts a Western fashion style
and aspires to take control of her life.
But her world comes crashing down
when she is forced to marry young.
After marrying into the Kim family,
Ms. Park is obliged to attend to her parents-in-law
as well as her grandparents-in-law
as a dutiful wife and daughter-in-law.
She tries to bear a son for the Kim family,
but she is without luck.
As she grows weary of her unfortunate life,
she meets Samsinhalmae, the Goddess of Birth.
