Pianist Meehyun Ahn
Pianist Ahn Meehyun, who inherited the Russian pianist tradition, is a leading performer of this generation with a sincere and creative repertoire. After studying under professors Jung Jin Woo and Lee Young In, she graduated from the Moscow P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory under the tutelage of Professor Sergei Dorensky, with the pedigree of a traditional Russian piano school. After this, she went to the prestigious Accademia Pianistica Incontri col Maestro Imola in Italy, where she was affected by the teachings of legendary pianist Lazar Berman and the Italian piano school to add to her depth in authentic classic and stylish details.
She was a researcher and visiting artist at Yale University in the United States, and was an adjunct professor at the University of New Haven, U.S. She is currently a professor at Sungshin Women’s University.
