    SYNOPSIS
Simeon Pease Cheney, a minister of the Church of England, makes notations of the sounds of birds, water, and wind in the garden of his parish. Whenever he is in the garden, he is reminded of his late wife, Eva, who loved the garden and who died while giving birth to their daughter 28 years ago. And this yearning turns into resentment toward his daughter.

Simeon ultimately advises his daughter, Rosamund, to leave the parish. Rosamund, who believes that she is overshadowed by her deceased mother and that there is no room for her there, leaves, and Simeon becomes even more obsessed with the garden.

After some time, Rosamund returns home and stays by her father’s side during his final moments. When he passes, she has his sheet music published under the title <Wood Notes Wild: Notations of Bird Music>.
