    Philip Colbert has had his artwork featured at Saatchi Gallery in London, known for discovering internationally lauded artists including Damien Hirst, Marc Quinn, and Tracey Emin.

    We invite you to the fun and fantastic Lobster Land created by Colbert, who has taken Europe by storm and is now gaining a huge following in the United States and Asia.

    An Encounter Between Trailblazers in the Art Community Paik Nam-june & Philip Colbert 

    We present to you an original collection from Paik Nam-june and, for the first time in the world, Colbert’s art inspired by that of the legendary media artist Paik!

    PAINTINGS

    Philip Colbert is known for his paintings inspired by world-famous works by Andy Warhol, Vincent van Gogh, and Pablo Picasso, among others, which convey a sense of excitement and familiarity using signs and symbols from commercial images such as Nike, Coca Cola, and Bitcoin. This exhibition is an opportunity to explore a mega pop art world where everything blends together beautifully in a fun and lively visual language that is unique to Colbert.

     

    SCULPTURES

    The lobster, which Colbert describes as his alter-ego and the main character in his world of creativity, is shown as a dream in an artistic virtual space, featured in famous paintings, and turned into a valiant mythical character. 


    MEDIA ART

    Lobster Land is a virtual world of art created by Colbert using moving images to tell exciting stories of this lobster with a cactus-shaped home who goes to an art gallery, factory, bank, and so on.


    NAM JUNE PAIK

    At the exhibition, you will be able to see the great legacy left by Paik Nam-june, the father of video art who is admired by Colbert, and work created by the latter, one of the leading contemporary pop artists, with inspiration from his predecessor’s masterpieces.

    Colbert, a celebrated pop artist who is garnering attention from around the world, is collaborating with globally renowned brands to create pop art in the domains of painting, sculpture, media art, fashion, and more.


     

    NOTICE

    The following rules will be in place for Philip Colbert’s exhibition, “Next Art,” to prevent the spread of COVID-19: 

    - In order to enter the exhibition, visitors are required to have their body temperature measured, scan their QR codes for the digital guestbook, and use a hand sanitizer, etc.

    - Visitors who are not wearing masks or who have a fever (37.5°C or above) will not be allowed to enter the exhibition.

    - Those exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or who have traveled abroad in the last two weeks will not be allowed to enter the exhibition, in accordance with the government guidelines. To ensure everyone’s safety, we disinfect our facilities throughout the day and all our staff members are required to keep their masks on.
